Disc Repositioning Case Study
A 26-year-old patient with TMJ pain was not responsive to arthroscopy and conservative measures.
Diagnosis: Articular disc displacement and mandibular retrognathia.
Procedures performed: Mitek disc repositioning, mandibular advancement with multiple mandibular osteotomies.
After the procedures are performed, the patient is able to gain proper occlusion and normal opening.
I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Movahed by my TMJ specialist.
