Ehlers Danlos

Ehlers Danlos is a group of genetic connective tissue disorders characterized by faulty collagen production. It affects the skin, joints, blood vessels, and other organs, leading to hypermobility, joint instability, fragile skin, and easy bruising. Individuals with EDS may experience chronic pain, joint dislocations, skin problems, gastrointestinal issues, cardiovascular complications, and fatigue. The severity and specific symptoms can vary widely among different types of EDS.

Common Symptoms

Common symptoms include joint hypermobility, joint instability, chronic pain, easy bruising, stretchy skin, fragile blood vessels, gastrointestinal issues, cardiovascular abnormalities, fatigue, and delayed wound healing. Individuals with EDS may also experience frequent joint dislocations or subluxations, scoliosis, dental problems, and complications related to pregnancy or childbirth.

Lefort 1 Segmental Osteotomy. Bilateral Total Joint Replacement (TJR). Genioplasty.

About This Patient
